S37 ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASOUND / VOLUME 6 / SUPPLEMENT 1 / AUGUST 2017 VID-HPB-01 An unusual appearance of space-occupying lesion in pancreas: Hydatid cyst Narendra Singh Choudhary, Rajesh Puri, Rinkesh Bansal, Haimanti Sarin, Mridula Guleria, Randhir Sud Medanta the Medicity, Gurugram, Haryana, India A 57-year-old male underwent ultrasound abdomen for nonspecific pain. The ultrasound abdomen showed a lesion in the body of pancreas. The patient was referred for endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) evaluation of a pancreatic lesion. EUS showed a 3.3 cm solid lesion in the body of pancreas with alternating thin hypoechoic and thick hyperechoic irregular layers giving it an appearance-like sulci and gyri of the brain. EUS-guided fine needle aspiration was done; the aspirate was positive for numerous hydatid scolices, thus confirming the diagnosis of pancreatic hydatid disease. DOI: 10.4103/2303-9027.212274

متن کاملPrimary lymphoma of the common bile duct presenting with acute pancreatitis and cholangitis.
ing from the extrahepatic bile duct is extremely rare, and preoperative diagnosis is difficult because symptoms and imaging are nonspecific [1,2]. The most common symptoms of primary biliary lymphoma are abdominal pain, weight loss, fever, and obstructive jaundice [1,2]. A total of 23 cases have been reported in literature [1–5], and, to the best of our knowledge, this is the fourth case of dia...

A 65-year-old man presented with recurrent abdominal pain and slight weight loss. Computed tomography (CT) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) revealed a hypodense, partially cystic mass located in the pancreatic body and tail that raised the suspicion of pancreatic cancer (●" Fig.1). No distant metastases were detected and the patient underwent surgical resection of the mass and splenectomy, which...
